Powder Bulk Solids Trade Journal Honors K-Tron Bulk Solids Pump™ (BSP) Feeder with the 2004 Innovative Technology Award in the Category of Processing
PITMAN, NJ (December 3, 2004)—The Powder Bulk Solids trade journal has selected the K-Tron Bulk Solids Pump (BSP) Feeder to receive the “2004 Innovative Technology Award” in the Processing category. The Innovative Technology Awards are granted to manufacturers of the most innovative and creative products introduced into the powder and bulk solids arena during the past year. Awards are given in four categories: Processing, Material Handling, Components and Packaging/Storage.
Products were judged on their impact on the quality, efficiency and productivity in the dry handling process; contributions to ongoing innovation in dry particulate handling and ability to advance the manufacturing and processing goals of the industry.
The K-Tron Bulk Solids Pump™ (BSP) feeder utilizes the unique technology of positive-displacement action—rather than screws/ augers, belts, vibratory trays or rotary valves—bringing the first new design approach to the mechanics of industrial feeding to be introduced in decades. The smooth, even flow offered by the BSP significantly improves accuracy levels, especially at short one-second sample durations.
Powder Bulk Solids is a publication of the Reed Business Group. Winners of the four Innovative Technology Awards are featured in the December issue of the trade journal.
